*Carol Wright presented our Rotary moment: How to tell our stories about how Rotary has helped us grow through its goals, ethos, and service projects. What Rotary does for us is about as important as what we do for others.
*The recent WC Club Fair generated nine new Fly'n B prospects.
*Our Program: Dave Robinson (former Rotarian); The Wind Crest Initiative, Now Hear This (NHT), a plan to equip all our meeting spaces with the technology to assist those needing hearing assistance. Dave started this project shortly after attending one of our first Rotary meetings where he had trouble hearing the proceedings. Our club is partnering with NHT and will help train hearing equipment users and perhaps some funding.

Tami Vinson
Executive Director – Denver
At our most recent meeting we were delighted to hear from Tami as we continue our longstanding association with Project Cure. As Executive Director of Project C.U.R.E. Denver, Tami Vinson develops strategic partnerships, engages the community, and raises the resources needed to help Project C.U.R.E. strengthen healthcare infrastructure and deliver life-saving medical relief to under-resourced communities around the world.
With more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership and development experience, Tami has held senior development roles with a range of nonprofit organizations and spent more than seven years as a fundraising and leadership consultant with Dini Spheris. Throughout her career, she has guided capital campaigns ranging from $3 million to $30 million, helped build development departments and major gifts programs, led high-touch fundraising events, strengthened board engagement, and cultivated partnerships with individuals, corporations, and foundations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in nonprofit management. She earned her Certified Fundraising Executive credential in 2014, reflecting her long-standing commitment to professional excellence and growth in the nonprofit sector.
Her commitment to community leadership has been a meaningful part of her professional journey. Over more than a decade of volunteer service, she served as President of the Colorado Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Chair of National Philanthropy Day, and as both a Steering Committee member and Chair for the Institute for Leaders in Development program at the University of Denver. Tami is proud to bring her experience and passion to Project C.U.R.E. as the organization strengthens healthcare infrastructure and brings health and hope to communities around the world through medical supplies, equipment, training, and other critical programs. She lives in Denver with her husband, Patrick, their daughter, Zoe, and their beloved pets.

We are confirmed for preparing and serving dnner at the Aurora Ronald McDonald House on Wednesday, October 7th from 4:00pm-7:30pm. The dinner theme will beOctoberfestfeaturing a selection of Bavarian specialties, beverages and desserts (sorry….no beer).
Please RSVP to me by September 22, and I will forward the link to register as a volunteer(mandetory). I can promise a rewarding and delicious event serving the needs of families deserving some respite TLC.
I was so inspired to hear from Dr. Jim Conahan with Mission of Healing Eyes about the work he does in Mexico as well as here in the Denver area, and I know we can help. As I mentioned in our meeting last week, let’s gather our old reading, prescription, and sunglasses as well as any and all glasses cases you have and bring them to our next 3 meetings. I will collect them all (Guy can collect them at the 9/16 meeting for me) and get them to Dr. Conahan after our second meeting in October. I will also coordinate with Terre and Win to collect from their clubs as well. (I’m not hooked in with the Club Runner communication tool but hopefully soon!)
